John Spach, formerly with Kestra Investment Services, Barred by FINRA

Have you lost money with financial advisor John Spach of Aliso Viejo, California?  We are looking into allegations made by FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, against John William Spach. FINRA barred Spach from the securities industry after he failed to respond to a FINRA investigation.  FINRA was investigating Spach after he was fired by his securities brokerage firm, Kestra Investment Services, after he settled a case with a customer without notifying the firm.  The customer complained after investing in a promissory note that later defaulted.

John Spach was a financial advisor and registered representative of Kestra Investment Services from August 2014 to June 2018.  He worked at a branch office Aliso Viejo, California.  Spach was affiliated with a number of other businesses, including Gen X for America, ibotit, and ERISA SMART.

Brokerage firms like Kestra Investment Services have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
