 Have you lost money with financial advisor Albert DeGaetano, formerly with Edward Jones in Brecksville, Ohio?  We are looking into allegations made against Albert DeGaetano. DeGaetano was suspended from the securities industry for six months and fined $7,500 by FINRA.  FINRA was investigating whether DeGaetano had exercised discretion in a customer’s account without written authority to do so. DeGaetano was alleged to have made 470 unauthorized transactions.

Albert DeGaetano was with Edward Jones from September 2015 to February 2019.  He is now with Sowell Management.  He has worked at branch offices in Brecksville, Ohio.  DeGaetano has also been the subject of one customer complaint, and he was also fired by Edward Jones and another firm.

Brokerage firms like Edward Jones have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
