Albany Financial Advisor Frederick E. Monroe Charged with
Running $1 Million Ponzi Scheme

However, according to the NY Attorney General’s allegations, Monroe instead used the money to pay off earlier investors and to fund his lifestyle. It was alleged that at least $1 million was not invested as represented.
Frederick E. Monroe was a financial advisor with Voya Financial Advisors from 2006 to the present. Monroe also was affiliated with Capital Financial Planning in Albany, New York. Bail was set for Fred Monroe at $300,000.
