Investigation of Raul Jacobs and T2 Asset Management

Have you lost money with financial advisor Raul E. Jacobs of Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois?  We are investigating allegations made by the Illinois Securities Department, against Raul E. Jacobs. The Illinois Securities Department alleged that during the Summer of 2015, Jacobs stole money from a customer of his investment advisory firm, T2 Asset Management.  He was alleged to have used the money to pay for his mortgage, credit card debt, and an online dating service.

Raul Jacobs was a financial advisor and registered representative of Waddell & Reed from May 2012 to March 2015.  He worked at a branch office in Orland Park, Illinois.  He was then affiliated with T2 Asset Management, in its Oakbrook Terrace office.

Brokerage firms and investment advisory firms have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
