Investigation of Wayne Schultz and Adirondack Trading Group

Schultz. FINRA barred Schultz from the securities industry after he failed to respond to a FINRA investigation. FINRA was investigating Schultz regarding allegations that he “issued notes” to an elderly customer.
Wayne Schultz was a financial advisor and registered representative of Adirondack Trading Group from June 2013 to the present. He also was previously affiliated with Sterne Agee Financial Services from January 2011 to June 2013. He worked at a branch office in Branchburg, New Jersey, and he also is a licensed attorney.
Brokerage firms like Adirondack Trading Group have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm. Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies. When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
