Investigation of Thomas Gackle and Lowell & Company, Inc.

Have you lost money with financial advisor Thomas Gackle of Novi, Michigan?  We are investigating allegations made by FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, against Thomas E. Gackle. FINRA barred Gackle from the securities industry after he failed to respond to a FINRA investigation.

FINRA was investigating Thomas Gackle regarding allegations that he had previously been barred from practicing law in the States of Kansas and Missouri.  Gackle had failed to disclose that information to his brokerage firm, Lowell & Company, Inc.

According to a 2007 Order filed by the Supreme Court of Kansas, Gackle had possessed child pornography.  Kansas indefinitely suspended his law license as a result.

Thomas Gackle was a financial advisor and registered representative of Lowell & Company from September 2006 to April 2015.  He worked at a branch office in Novi, Michigan.  Gackle ran a couple of his own businesses, including Asset Protection Group, LLC.  He has own customer complaint on his record, alleging misrepresentations related to non-traded REITs.

Brokerage firms like Lowell & Company have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
