INVESTOR ALERT! Cory Williams

INVESTOR WARNING!  David Major from New York, New York

Have you lost money with financial advisor David Major of New York, New York?  We are investigating allegations made by FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, against David W. Major. FINRA barred Major from the securities industry after he failed to respond to a FINRA investigation.  FINRA was investigating David Major regarding allegations that he may have violated investment-related statutes, regulations, rules or industry standards of conduct while he was affiliated with a brokerage firm, GFI Securities.

David Major was a financial advisor and registered representative of GFI Securities from 2003 to May 2016.  He worked at a branch office in New York, New York.  His BrokerCheck report also discloses that he was allowed to “voluntarily resign” by GFI Securities for this conduct, which is allegedly related to emerging markets bonds.

Brokerage firms like GFI Securities have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
