Joseph Krueger from Westlake, Ohio Suspended From Securities Industry
Have you lost money with financial advisor Joseph Krueger of Westlake, Ohio? We are investigating allegations made by FINRA (the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority), against Joseph Daniel Krueger II. FINRA suspended Joseph Krueger from the securities industry for three months after he was terminated by his former brokerage firm, Stifel Nicolaus & Co., for allegedly engaging in private securities transactions.
FINRA alleged that Krueger solicited investors to invest a total of $200,000 in promissory notes of a social media monitoring app he was operating. FINRA alleged that Krueger disclosed this as an outside business activity but did not tell Stifel Nicolaus & Co. that he was selling interests in this app. FINRA alleged that this conduct occurred between February and July 2015, while Krueger was affiliated with Stifel Nicolaus & Co. In addition the suspension, Krueger was fined $5,000.
Joseph Krueger was a financial advisor and registered representative of Stifel Nicolaus & Co. from 2001 to September 2015. He worked at a branch office in Westlake, Ohio.
Brokerage firms like Stifel Nicolaus & Co. have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm. Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies. When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
