Vaughn Andrews McKay, formerly with Pruco Securities, Barred from Securities Industry

 

Have you lost money with financial advisor Vaughn Andrews McKay of Shelton, Connecticut?  We are investigating allegations made by FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, against Vaughn Andrews McKay. FINRA barred Andrews-McKay from the securities industry regarding allegations that he stole $47,000 from two clients of his former brokerage firm, Pruco Securities.

 

Vaughn Andrews-McKay was a financial advisor and registered representative of Pruco Securities from August 2015 to May 2018.  He worked at a branch office in Shelton, Connecticut.  Andrews-McKay was also terminated by Pruco Securities for this conduct.

 

Brokerage firms like Pruco Securities have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
