COMPLAINTS Against TAREK MOHAMED of Bankers Life

FINRA filed a complaint against Mohamed, alleging that he failed to respond to an investigation. The complaint against Mohamed alleges that clients funds were deposited into an account of Perfect Media Promotions, a company owned by Mohamed.

Tarek Mohamed was a financial advisor and registered representative of Bankers Life Securities from October 2017 to September 2020. He worked at a branch office in Clearwater, Florida. Mohamed was also the subject of one customer complaint involving an annuity and Perfect Media Promotions, which settled for $75,982.

Brokerage firms like Bankers Life Securities have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm. Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies. When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
