Since 2022, Eric Duncan and his brokerage firm have been the subject of two customer complaints. Both customer complaints allege losses in corporate debt or bonds. Since 2004, Eric Duncan has been a representative of Moloney Securities in their Denver, Colorado office. Duncan has been in the securities industry since 2000. Duncan also operates Team Duncan Financial and Candlelight Capital. It was unknown whether the customer complaints involved GWG bonds.

Moloney Securities is a broker-dealer and has responsibilities to monitor the conduct of its advisors. Moreover, Moloney Securities has an obligation to vet or research products like bonds before selling such to their customers. If Moloney Securities fails in these respects, it could be liable for investor losses.
