JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA

Did you lose money with financial advisor Eric Stone, formerly with Fidelity Brokerage Services in Jacksonville, Florida? In March 2023, Eric J. Stone was barred by FINRA from the securities industry when he failed to fully cooperate with a FINRA investigation.

Mr. Stone was fired by his brokerage firm in June 2021 after he allegedly solicited and obtained loans from clients. Stone had been with Fidelity Brokerage Services from 2008 to June 2021. Generally, financial advisors cannot get loans from customers under FINRA Rules, with limited exceptions. When FINRA investigating this termination, Stone did not fully comply with FINRA’s document requests.

Under FINRA Rule 8210, Eric Stone is required respond to FINRA investigations. Fidelity Brokerage Services must adequately supervise the conduct of its advisors, like Eric Stone, pursuant to FINRA Rule 3110.
