Are you a current or former client of financial advisor Brian Visconti, formerly with Raymond James in Tampa, Florida? We are reviewing allegations made against Brian Visconti. Visconti was discharged by Raymond James in February 2022, regarding claims that he failed to follow the brokerage firm’s procedures regarding and outside securities account.
Brian Visconti has also been the subject of a customer complaint that was filed in FINRA arbitration in April 2022. According to BrokerCheck, the customer alleged that Visconti improperly recommended investing in only a handful of technology sector stocks or equities. The customer alleges $200,000 from this concentration in technology stocks. The BrokerCheck disclosure did not specify which technology stocks were at issue.
From May 2020 to February 2022, Brian Visconti had worked with Raymond James in Tampa, Florida. Visconti was previously affiliated with Wells Fargo and J.P. Morgan, and he is now affiliated with Jeffrey Matthews Financial Group in Tampa. Visconti has been in the securities industry since 2011.
FINRA Rule 3210 requires that advisors disclose all outside securities accounts to his or her brokerage firm. Moreover, advisors must make suitable investment recommendations pursuant to Rule 2111. A failure to abide by these rules could result in liability against the advisor and his or her brokerage firm.
