Did you invest with Kevin Cory of Baltimore, Maryland? Our securities arbitration firm is looking into claims made by FINRA (the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) against Kevin Cory, who previously worked with RF Lafferty & Company from August 2017 to February 2022. FINRA barred Cory from the securities brokerage industry.

FINRA alleged that Mr. Cory created fictitious account statements of a purported investment fund that he had created. The statements showed that the purported investments’ value rose, while in reality, the investments no longer existed. Cory also sent numerous texts to clients to keep up the ruse that the investments still existed.

RF Lafferty & Company is a FINRA member and has obligations to adequately supervise conduct of advisors like Kevin Cory. If the brokerage firm failed to do so, it may be liable for investor losses.
