Have you lost money with financial advisor Mark Boucher from Carlsbad, California? We are continuing to look into allegations against Mark J. Boucher. Boucher was recently criminally charged with fraud, regarding allegations that he stole $2 million from his investment advisory clients.

In 2020, Boucher was named in a civil complaint by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The SEC alleged that Boucher misappropriated or stole over $2.2 million from customers between 2010 and 2020. The SEC also alleged that Mark Boucher made unauthorized transfers from customer accounts to pay for personal expenses, including vacations, travel, and a Chevy Camaro.

Mark Boucher was a registered representative and financial advisor with Raymond James from 2000 to March 2016. He was also with SCF Investment Advisors from December 2016 to May 2019. He worked out of a branch office in Carlsbad, California. Boucher has also been the subject of at least two customer complaints, and he also was fired by SCF Investment Advisors.

Broker-dealers like Raymond James have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm, including investments sold by their registered representatives. Broker-dealers also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations. When broker-dealers fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
