FINRA initiated its investigation regarding a customer complaint made about Karandos. The customer complaint alleged that alleged unsuitable investments and that he improperly withdrew funds from customer accounts. A review of David Karandos on Brokercheck reveals that he has been the subject of seven customer complaints, four of which have been made within the last two years. A recent complaint alleges that Karandos made recommendations in viaticals, private placements, and alternative investments.
David Karandos had been licensed in the securities industry since 1989. He was a representative of Dinosaur Financial Group from September 2013 to November 2019. He worked in offices in Indianapolis, Indiana. In addition to the seven customer complaints, Karandos also filed for bankruptcy in 2012, was the subject of two tax liens, and has been the subject of two other regulatory investigations.
Dinosaur Financial Group is a FINRA member. FINRA Rule 3110 mandates that securities firms adequately monitor their representatives. If the firms like Dinosaur Financial Group fail to provide sufficient supervision, the firms could be responsible for financial damages.
