Fernando Silva, Formerly with Morgan Stanley, Barred by FINRA

TUCSON, ARIZONA

Did you lose money with financial advisor Fernando Silva, formerly with Morgan Stanley in Tucson, Arizona?  In December 2022, Fernando Silva was barred by FINRA from the securities brokerage industry after he failed to respond to a FINRA investigation.

It was alleged by FINRA that Morgan Stanley filed a Form U5 with FINRA, noting that Morgan Stanley had “concerns that Silva had misappropriated client funds.”  When FINRA sought Silva’s cooperation surrounding those allegations, Silva refused to provide documentation in response.  That led to him being expelled from the securities industry.

Fernando Silva had been an advisor with Morgan Stanley from August 2021 to September 2022, when he was terminated by Morgan Stanely.  Silva was also previously registered with Wells Fargo.  He worked in offices in Tucson, Arizona.

As a FINRA member, Morgan Stanley must adequately supervise the conduct of its advisors, like Fernando Silva.  If Morgan Stanley failed to do so, it could be responsible for customer losses.
