Andrew Kramer, formerly of Capitol Securities Management, Barred from Securities Industry

 

Have you lost money with financial advisor Andrew Kramer of Brooklyn, New York?  We are investigating allegations made by FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, against Andrew B. Kramer. FINRA barred Kramer from the securities industry after he failed to respond to a FINRA investigation.  FINRA was investigating Kramer after he was terminated by his brokerage firm, Capitol Securities Management.

 

Andrew Kramer was a financial advisor and registered representative of Capitol Securities Management from September 2014 to May 2016.  Kramer was also affiliated with Northeast Securities from July 2010 to September 2014.  He worked at a branch office in Brooklyn, New York.  Kramer has been the subject of at least six customer disputes.  One of the customer’s alleged that Kramer had employed a strategy thinking that a bear market was coming, and when the bull market continued, the client lost money.  Kramer also operated a company called Kramer Capital Management.

 

Brokerage firms like Capitol Securities Management have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
