Cynthia Bolker, formerly of NYLife Securities, Barred by Oregon Division of Financial Regulation

Have you lost money with financial advisor Cynthia Bolker of San Diego, California?  We are investigating allegations made by the Oregon Division of Financial Regulation against Cynthia Robin Bolker. Oregon barred Bolker after she allegedly borrowed money from customers, in violation of securities regulations and in violation of her former brokerage firm’s internal policies, NYLife Securities.

Cynthia Bolker was a financial advisor and registered representative of NYLife Securities from 1983 to December 2015.  She worked at branch offices in San Diego, California.  Bolker was also previously barred by FINRA for this conduct.

Brokerage firms like NYLife Securities have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
