James Schaedler, formerly of Wells Fargo, Barred from Securities Industry
Have you lost money with financial advisor James Schaedler of Anaheim, California? We are investigating allegations made by FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, against James R. Schaedler, Jr. FINRA barred Schaedler from the securities industry after he failed to respond to a FINRA investigation. FINRA was investigating Schaedler regarding numerous allegations, including that he exercised influence over an elderly customer and got himself named as a beneficiary in her $2.3 million trust. It was also alleged that Schaedler received a $200,000 “gift” from another elderly customer.
James Schaedler was a financial advisor and registered representative of Wells Fargo from July 2010 to January 2017. He worked at a branch office in Anaheim, California. He also was terminated by Wells Fargo for this conduct.
Brokerage firms like Wells Fargo have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm. Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies. When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
