John Jumper, formerly of Alluvion Securities, Barred by FINRA

 

Have you lost money with financial advisor John Jumper of Memphis, Tennessee?  We are investigating allegations made by FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, against John S. Jumper. FINRA barred Jumper after he failed to respond to an investigation regarding allegations that he misappropriated funds from a pension plan.

 

John Jumper was a financial advisor and registered representative of Alluvion Securities from September 2007 to February 2017.  He worked at a branch office in Memphis, Tennessee.  Jumper has been the subject of two other regulatory actions, and Jumper was the CEO, CFO, and Chief Compliance Officer of Alluvion Securities.

 

Brokerage firms like Alluvion Securities have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
