Losses with Paul Zakhary of J.P. Morgan in Ocala, FL

Paul W. Smith, formerly of Bolton Global Capital, Barred from Securities Industry

Have you lost money with financial advisor Paul W. Smith of Wayne, Pennsylvania?  We are investigating allegations made by FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, against Paul Wescoe Smith. FINRA barred Smith from the securities industry after he failed to respond to a FINRA investigation.  FINRA was investigating Smith regarding allegations that he sold private investments to a customer without permission from his brokerage firm, Bolton Global Capital.

Paul Smith was a financial advisor and registered representative of Bolton Global Capital from May 2007 to February 2017.   He worked at a branch office in Wayne, Pennsylvania.  Smith has been the subject of four customer complaints.  One of the complaints alleged that in 2012, a customer gave Smith a check for $130,000 to invest.  When the customer requested his money back in April 2017, Paul Smith told the customer to contact Smith’s attorney.

Brokerage firms like Bolton Global Capital have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
