Have you lost money with financial advisor John Ernst of Foresters Equity in Milwaukee, Wisconsin?

We are looking into allegations made by the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions against John D. Ernst.  Wisconsin alleged that Ernst sold investments in the Woodbridge Group of Companies (Woodbridge).  Wisconsin further alleged that Ernst was not properly licensed to sell these investments.  Unfortunately, Woodbridge has filed for bankruptcy, and investors may suffer considerable losses in these investments.

John Ernst was a financial advisor and registered representative of Foresters Equity Services from January 2011 to March 2018.  He worked at a branch office Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Ernst was also terminated by Foresters Equity Services for selling Woodbridge.

Brokerage firms like Foresters Equity Services have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
