ALERT! KIMM HANNAN Found GUILTY of Investment Fraud

Kimm Hannan from Jackson Township, Ohio Found Guilty of Investment Fraud

 

Have you lost money with financial advisor Kimm Hannan, formerly of Jackson Township, Ohio?  On January 18, 2019, Kimm C. Hannan was found guilty of investment fraud, according to Inde Online.  Hannan is scheduled to be sentenced on January 22, 2019.  Hannan could be subject to the maximum penalty of a combined 300 years in prison.

 

In May 2018, the Stark County Prosecutor made its allegations against Kimm C. Hannan, a former representative of LPL Financial, Ameriprise Financial Services, and Horter Investment Management. Stark County indicted Hannan for theft, regarding allegations that he stole money, according to Canton Rep.  The indictment included 55 counts, in which Hannan is accused of defrauding clients between 2014 and 2017.

 

Kimm Hannan was a financial advisor and registered representative of LPL Financial from January 2014 to November 2014.  He also worked with Ameriprise Financial Services from 1994 to January 2014.  He worked at branch offices in Canton and Akron, Ohio.  Hannan was also associated with Hannan & Associates and Horter Investment Management from December 2014 to April 2017.

 

Brokerage firms like LPL Financial and Ameriprise Financial Services have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
