Have you lost money with financial advisor Lina Garcia of Miami, Florida?  We are looking into allegations made by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) against Lina Maria Garcia.  The SEC alleged that Garcia and her firm, UCB Financial Advisors, allocated profitable trades to themselves while allocating unprofitable trades to clients.  Ramiro Sugranes was also named in the complaint.  Sugranes and Garcia were alleged to have operated UCB Financial Advisors and were alleged to have engaged in “cherry picking”.

Lina Garcia was a financial advisor and registered representative of Insigneo Securities from 2010 to September 2021.  She worked at a branch office in Miami, Florida.

Brokerage firms like Insigneo Securities have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
