Michael Raineri of Securities America and KMS Financial is Barred from the Securities Industry

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON

Are you a former customer of Michael Raineri in Seattle, Washington? Our Seattle securities arbitration firm is looking into claims made by FINRA (the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) against Michael Raineri, who was recently affiliated with Securities America.

Michael Raineri was alleged to have received $135,000 from a customer.  Raineri had claimed that he started paying personal expenses on behalf of a customer, beginning in August 2018 while Raineri was with KMS Financial Services.  However, the $135,000 funds far exceeded the expenses that Raineri had paid on the customer’s behalf.  As such, FINRA barred Raineri from the securities industry.

Mr. Raineri was licensed with Securities America from November 2020 to April 2023.  He was also with KMS Financial Services from April 2018 to November 2020.  Raineri worked in Seattle, Washington offices.  He’s also the subject of a customer complaint regarding this $135,000.

Raineri was bound to follow FINRA Rule 2150, which provides that advisors cannot improperly use a customer’s funds or securities.  Moreover, Securities America and KMS Financial Services must properly supervise its financial advisors.  Failure to follow these rules could result in liability for the advisor and brokerage firm.
