Michael Valenta, with Cambridge Investment Research, Subject of Three Customer Complaints

FINRA’s BrokerCheck reveals that Valenta has been the subject of three customer complaints in 2022. Each of the complaints involves investments in oil and gas investments. At least two of the complaints involved a Fund that promised 7% tax-free dividends based on oil and gas drilling in the Eagleford, Texas area.
Michael Joseph Valenta has been affiliated with Cambridge Investment Research in a Westminster, Colorado office since 2008. In addition to the three customer complaints made in 2022, he was the subject of three other prior complaints.
According to FINRA Rule 2111, financial advisors have an obligation to make suitable investment recommendations. If the advisor or broker fails to do so, brokerage firms like Cambridge Investment Research could be found liable for investor losses.
