Phoenix Arizona securities and investment fraud attorneys

The Phoenix area has grown significantly in the last two decades and has been one of the fastest growing cities in the country.  With that growth and expansion comes both the good and bad.  There have been many significant schemes involving securities and investment fraud. While these fraudsters are not as notorious as Bernie Madoff, they are nonetheless just as devastating to the victims of these fraudulent schemes.

The Phoenix area has seen numerous investment schemes in the last two decades, including involvement of advisors from Phoenix, Gilbert, Scottsdale, Mesa, and Apache Junction:

-In 2018, Cory Williams, an advisor from Gilbert, was sentenced to seven years in prison for running a scheme in which he stole money from customers.  Williams was ordered to pay restitution of $13.5 million.

-In 2018, Robert Kerrigan, a broker from Scottsdale, was ordered to pay over $1.3 million for restitution for selling fraudulent investments.

-In 2019, the Arizona Corporation Commission brought an action against Bradley Tennison, an advisor from Mesa, alleging Tennison’s involvement in a $9.4 million scheme.

-In 2017, Eugene Anderson, an advisor in Apache Junction, was barred from the securities industry after he borrowed money from a customer with no intention or means to pay the loan back.
