Have you lost money with financial advisor Ricardo P. Turlan from San Antonio, Texas? We are looking into allegations made by FINRA (the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) against Ricardo Turlan. Turlan was being investigated regarding allegations that he executed trades in customer accounts without speaking to clients on the days of the transactions and without having written authorization to execute the trades. To settle these allegations Turlan agreed to a two month suspension and a $7,500 fine.
Ricardo Turlan was a registered representative and financial advisor with UBS Financial Services from October 2015 to August 2019. He worked out of branch offices in San Antonio, Texas. Turlan was also the subject of three customer complaints and was also terminated by UBS Financial Services.
Broker-dealers like UBS Financial Services have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm, including investments sold by their registered representatives. Broker-dealers also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations. When broker-dealers fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
