Robert Turner, Formerly with UBS Financial Services and Stifel Nicolaus, Allowed to Resign from Firm

Have you lost money investing with Robert Turner, a financial advisor in Waco, Texas? The investment fraud law firm of Israels & Neuman is looking into allegations made against Robert Earl Turner, who previously was affiliated with UBS Financial Services and Stifel Nicolaus.  According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck, he voluntarily resigned from Stifel Nicolaus in January 2022.  The disclosure indicates that Turner’s “acknowledgement of involvement with investments not offered at his prior firm [UBS Financial Services] while employed at the prior firm”.  There is no indication that UBS Financial Services terminated Turner or asked him to resign.

Robert Earl Turner was affiliated with UBS Financial Services from 1996 to October 2021.  He then was affiliated with Stifel Nicolaus from September 2021 to January 2022.  He worked in Waco, Texas.  Turner’s wife, Stephanie Turner, is still affiliated with Stifel Nicolaus.

Brokerage firms like UBS Financial Services and Stifel Nicolaus have an obligation under FINRA Rule 3110 to adequately supervise the conduct of their advisors.  If they fail to adequately supervise him, the firms may be liable for investor losses.
