Sean Kelly and Sales of GPB Capital
Have you lost money investing with Sean Kelly and GPB Capital? We are continuing our investigation into Sean Joseph Kelly from Marietta, Georgia, who was previously a registered representative of Capital Financial Services and Center Street Securities. Sean Kelly was recommending that his clients make investments in GPB Capital.
GPB Capital is purportedly an investment in the auto industry. GPB Capital has stopped paying investors, and it is believed that investors will suffer considerable losses in these automobile investments. GPB Capital has been the subject of investigations by the Massachusetts Securities Division and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Sean Kelly was a representative of Center Street Securities from August 2017 to October 2018. He also worked with Capital Financial Services from August 2012 to August 2017. He worked at a branch office in Marietta, Georgia. Kelly also recently pleaded guilty to fraud charges, and his sentencing hearing is set for March 27, 2019.
Brokerage firms like Center Street Securities and Capital Financial Services have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm. Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.
