Securities Fraud Law Firm Investigates HERBERT J. SIMS & CO for Unsuitable Investments

FAIRFIELD, CONNECTICUT

Have you lost money investing in variable annuities through Herbert J. Sims & Co.?  The Investment Fraud Law Firm of Israels & Neuman is currently investigating allegations made against Herbert J. Sims & Co., a Fairfield, Connecticut-based securities brokerage firm.  The SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) brought a regulatory action against Herbert J. Sims & Co., making allegations that it sold risky and complex variable interest rate structured products to 45 clients between January 2015 and April 2018 from Herbert J. Sims’ Boca Raton, Florida office.  The SEC alleged that the variable interest rate structured products were unsuitable for the investors.

To settle these allegations, Herbert J. Sims & Co. agreed to pay a $250,000 fine.
