INVESTOR WARNING!  Thomas Omark from Erie, Pennsylvania

 

Have you lost money with financial advisor Thomas Omark of Erie, Pennsylvania?  We are investigating allegations made by FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, against Thomas E. Omark.  FINRA alleged that Omark executed trades in at least four customer accounts without prior written authorization from the customers, between January 2015 and October 2015.

 

FINRA also alleged that Thomas E. Omark purchased a number of preferred shares of PNC Financial Services Group on behalf of his customers and marked the purchases as “unsolicited”, when in fact they were solicited.  Omark was alleged to have done this over 240 times.  To settle these allegations, Omark agreed to a six-month suspension from the securities industry and a $15,000 fine.

 

Thomas E. Omark is a financial advisor and registered representative of PNC Investments from 2004 to October 2015.  He worked at a branch office in Erie, Pennsylvania.  Omark was also affiliated with Crump Life Insurance.

 

Brokerage firms like PNC Investments have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
