Charles Fackrell Charged with Securities Fraud

Have you lost money with financial advisor Charles Caleb Fackrell from Yadkinville, North Carolina?  We have been investigating Charles Fackrell, after he was arrested in December 2014 for allegations that he stole at $300,000 from his clients.  Fackrell worked at Fackrell/Trivette Wealth Management in Yadkinville.

Last week, Charles Fackrell was charged with fraud, according to wsoctv.com.  The article also states that Fackrell has already reached a plea deal with prosecutors too.

In 2015, Charles Fackrell was barred from the securities industry by FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.  FINRA barred him because Fackrell failed to respond to its investigation regarding his alleged theft of funds.

Charles Fackrell was a financial advisor and registered representative of LPL Financial from June 2010 to December 2014.  He also was registered with Wells Fargo Advisors from December 2009 to June 2010.  Fackrell was terminated by LPL Financial in December 2014 after his arrest and allegations that he stole money.

Broker-dealers like LPL Financial have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm, including investments sold by their registered representatives.  Broker-dealers also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When broker-dealers fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
