Roger Kroeger, formerly of Invest Financial Corporation, Barred from Securities Industry
Have you lost money with financial advisor Roger Kroeger of Fort Lauderdale, Florida? FINRA barred Kroeger from the securities industry after he failed to respond to an investigation. FINRA was investigation Kroeger after he was arrested on theft allegations.
In November 2017, Roger Kroeger was arrested regarding allegations that he embezzled $290,000 from a 92-year-old customer’s accounts. The money was allegedly transferred to Kroeger’s sister, Claudia Mahon, who was also arrested. It was further alleged that $10,000 of this money was used to pay a construction company that was doing work on Kroeger’s $2 million house. When police arrived to arrest Kroeger, he was seen shredding documents.
Roger Kroeger was a financial advisor and registered representative of Invest Financial Corporation from 1990 to December 2017. He worked at a branch office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Kroeger was terminated by Invest Financial Corporation regarding these allegations.
Brokerage firms like Invest Financial Corporation have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm. Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies. When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
