Jeffrey B. Rubin and International Assets Advisory, LLC

Have you lost money with financial advisor Jeffrey Rubin of Fort Lauderdale, Florida?  We are investigating allegations made by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) against Jeffrey Rubin.   In a recently filed complaint, the SEC alleges that Jeffrey B. Rubin was improperly reimbursed for more than $600,000 in expenses which were unrelated to an investment that he sold to his customers.

Jeffrey B. Rubin owned Pro Sports Financial, Inc., which was created to help professional athletes with their finances.  Rubin solicited many of his professional athlete clients to invest in promissory notes of Country Crossings, which was purported to be an investment in an entertainment and casino complex to be built in Dothan, Alabama.  Rubin raised over $40 million to invest in Country Crossings.

The SEC alleged that Rubin requested and received reimbursement for expenses that were not related to Country Crossings, including a mortgage on his multi-million dollar home in South Florida, a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, cruises, spa services, and an interest in a Florida night club.

Jeffrey B. Rubin was a registered representative and financial advisor with International Assets Advisory from September 2009 to March 2011.  He worked at a branch office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  Rubin was barred by FINRA in 2013 for the same conduct alleged by the SEC.  Rubin has also been the subject of at least four customer complaints.
