Ronald Paul Rafaloff and Liberty Partners Financial Services

FINRA alleged that Rafaloff defrauded and exploited a 74 year old retiree.

Rafaloff befriended his elderly client by running personal errands for her, taking her to dinner, driving and accompanying her to doctor appointments all in an effort to exploit her trust and defraud her.  He then took $405,000.00 of her money and invested it in a company in which he had complete access to her funds.   He used her investment principal to pay for his own personal expenses.  Rafaloff used $168,000.00 of his 74 year old client’s money and used it for meals at fancy Manhattan restaurants, shopping at retail stores, health insurance premiums, and rental car expenses.

Rafaloff has also been accused of making false statements to his employer, Liberty Partners regarding his dealings with his client and his involvement in private securities transactions and outside business activities.  He was also found to make misrepresentations to FINRA staff during their investigation into his exploits.

Ronald Paul Rafaloff of the Bronx, NY was a registered representative and financial advisor with Liberty Partners Financial Services.  His registration as a financial advisor was revoked, and he was ordered to pay $200,000.00 in civil penalties.
