INVESTOR ALERT! Cory Williams

William Quigley, Former Compliance Officer at Trident Partners, Ltd., Barred from Securities Industry

Have you lost money with financial advisor William Quigley from Seaford and Woodbury, New York?  We are investigating allegations made by the SEC and reported by InvestNews.com made against Quigley.   The SEC alleged that William Michael Quigley, the former Chief Compliance Officer of Trident Partners Ltd., diverted money from overseas investors to his family in the Philippines.  InvestmentNews reported that Quigley also was criminally indicted for wire fraud and money laundering for the same conduct.  In March 2017, Quigley was barred from the securities industry by the SEC.

According to the SEC complaint, William Quigley told investors to invest in legitimate companies like Dell, Berkshire Hathaway, and Blackrock, Inc.  However, when Quigley received the money, he did not invest it as instructed but instead diverted that money and gave it to his brother Michael and Brian Quigley.  In March 2016, Quigley was sentenced to only six months in prison for his role in the scheme.

FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, suspended William Quigley in March 2015 for failing to respond to its investigation regarding these theft allegations.  Trident Partners Ltd. terminated Quigley in September 2014 for the same allegations.

William Michael Quigley was a financial advisor and registered representative of Trident Partners Ltd. from October 2007 to September 2014.  He worked at offices in Westbury and Woodbury, New York.  Quigley was previously fired by Fleet Securities in 1999.
