Warning: JERRY RICE of Raymond James Financial SUSPENDED

Rice was suspended from the securities industry by FINRA for eight months.  Rice was alleged to have accepted $477,000 in gifts from a senior customer without disclosing such to his brokerage firm, Raymond James Financial.

Jerry Rice was with Raymond James Financial from 1999 to November 2019.  He has worked at branch offices in Tinton Falls, New Jersey.  Rice has also been the subject of two customer complaints and was allowed to voluntarily resign by Raymond James Financial.

Brokerage firms like Raymond James Financial have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
