INVESTOR ALERT! Dennis Murphy of Monmouth Capital in Red Bank, NJ

William Derrington, formerly with KCD Financial, Subject of Washington Securities Division Complaint

Have you lost money with financial advisor William Derrington of Bellevue, Washington?  We are investigating allegations made by the Washington Securities Division.   Washington alleged that Derrington borrowed money from a customer and never paid it back.  Derrington did not have permission from his former brokerage firm, KCD Financial, to enter into this loan transaction.  As a result, Washington barred Derrington from the securities industry.

William Derrington was a financial advisor and registered representative of KCD Financial from December 2006 to December 2013.  Derrington was also affiliated with Independent Financial Group between January 2014 and July 2015.  He worked at a branch office in Bellevue, Washington.   He also owned and operated Westmont Financial.  Derrington has been the subject of at least four customer complaints.

Brokerage firms like KCD Financial have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
