Centaurus Financial Advisor William Fuentes and GWG L Bonds

Have you invested in GWG L Bonds with financial advisor William Fuentes from Simi Valley, California? Our law firm is looking into William Fuentes, who has worked with Centaurus Financial since January 2019.  Upon a review of publicly available documents from the GWG Holdings bankruptcy, it appears that numerous clients or customers of William Fuentes and Centaurus Financial invested in the GWG L Bonds.

Unfortunately, GWG Holdings filed for bankruptcy earlier this year, which means that investors likely have suffered significant losses in GWG investments, including the GWG L bonds.  While some advisors are helping their customers file proof of claims forms with the GWG Holdings bankruptcy, those advisors and their brokerage firms could potentially be liable to investors for financial losses.  In particular, advisors or brokerage firms like Centaurus Financial may be responsible for losses if the investment recommendation was unsuitable under FINRA Rule 2111.

William Fuentes has been assigned to an office in Simi Valley, California while working for Centaurus Financial from January 2019 to the present.  He also previously worked for Questar Capital and First Allied Securities and was terminated by another firm in 2013.
