Israels & Neuman, PLC Investigates Complaints Against William Ornstein of The GMS Group

Have you lost money with financial advisor William Ornstein (CRD# 500470), of The GMS Group, in Livingston, New Jersey?  We are investigating allegations of former customers related to William or Bill Ornstein. Bill Ornstein’s BrokerCheck report, a public record maintained by FINRA, states that Ornstein has been the subject of eleven customer complaints.

Specifically, William Ornstein’s BrokerCheck report states that at least two of the customers made complaints about municipal bonds.  Two of the claims are still pending.

William Martin Ornstein is a registered representative of The GMS Group from 2001 to the present.  He works at a branch office in Livingston, New Jersey.

Brokerage firms like The GMS Group have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
